Brief description of the product/ technology:

The Braille Master-plate embosser is a device that embosses Braille characters on Aluminium sheet metal plates to prepare Braille books in Braille presses. The  metal masters prepared by this machine enables multiple braille copies to be embossed on paper one full page at a time, thus making the volume- production of  braille books faster. Visually challenged children need Braille books of various subjects for different class levels  for various Indian languages in various quantities  each year. Hence to meet these complex demands, this computerized braille master plate preparing machine has been designed and is  under fabrication stage.
This computerized Metal-master embosser  under   development is a technically superior, error free and indigenous machine compared to those Braille  key-pad based mechanical versions which are often prone to errors and frequent break-downs.
